Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for reviewing and approving all Bond related programs used by the organization

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and guidance to associates who assist with reviewing bond program information
  • Communicate with and train branch personnel with regard to bond related programs (i.e. MRB, DPA, MCC and NSP)
  • Remain current on all programs and provides updates to branch personnel as applicable
  • Maintains and update information on company portal with regard to programs
  • Review all bond related loan files to ensure accuracy and correctness as it relates to required documentation and general requirements
  • Coordinates and communicates with providers/agencies to remain current all required procedures, general requirements and availability
  • Plan staffing levels; work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire and employ an appropriate number of employees
  • Provide oversight and direction in the operating unit(s) in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures; delegate responsibilities appropriately expecting accountability
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
  • Lead employees to meet organization’s expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment
  • Provide effective performance feedback
  • Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department
  • Develops, plans, implements, and ensures administration of departmental goals and budgets
  • Empowers supervisors/managers to plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals
  • Make strategic business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures
  • Review performance data to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness
  • Strategic partnering and communication with internal and external contacts (including senior leadership levels) as necessary to ensure expectations and timelines are met
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelors degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years proven and progressive product development experience within mortgage industry
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent inter-personal, conflict management skills and the ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
  • Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and accountability
  • Ability to establish direction, translate concepts into actionable, implementation plans and identify opportunities to improve productivity
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and strong detail orientation
  • Demonstrated judgment, and decision making ability with the ability to negotiate and influence decision making
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Displays excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
