We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst that has a seasoned MORTGAGE background.  The qualified candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, performing detail financial analysis, generating ad hoc reports for management, and assist with the budget and forecast. Work with all levels of management within the corporate office and at the branch units. Provides management with value-added analysis utilized in financial decision making in such areas as business profitability. Develop a broad understanding of mortgage banking, industry trends, and the company business model.

Essential Functions

  • Review, analyze, and monitor monthly and quarterly financial statements for corporate departments and business units.
    • Support executive management, branch units, and production management with financial matters.
    • Conduct monthly meetings with branch managers to discuss financial results vs. forecasted projections.
  • Perform advance financial modeling and ad hoc analysis reporting.
  • Assist senior management in gathering financial data in evaluating and measuring the company strategic and operational business position.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast process for corporate department and branch units.
  • Monitor and track branch units key performance metrics against the company’s strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare quarterly regulatory reports and assist with gathering financial data for annual audit request.
  • Participate in benchmark studies. Analyze financial data and trends on companies in the mortgage banking industry.
  • Assist in the preparation of board presentation and executive management reporting packages.
  • Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive Company image.
  • Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration, preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years mortgage banking or related business experience providing knowledge in reporting, financial analysis, mathematics and accounting.
  • Working knowledge of AMB (Accounting for Mortgage Bankers) system.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access).
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Display excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with branch, regional and corporate personnel.
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability.
