  • Job Summary

    • Responsible for overseeing the incentive compensation function
    • Manages the development and implementation of compensation policies, programs and procedures in order to be responsive to company’s goals and competitive practices

    Essential Functions

    • Leads and maintains responsibility for the review and definition of incentive compensation philosophy and strategy for the company and ensures that all compensation practices are fair, equitable and fall within the confines of any regulatory requirements
    • Works with senior leadership to analyze and drive incentive compensation changes required to keep up with business needs
    • Understand the unique dynamics of the organization and mortgage industry to create customized compensation plans through thorough modeling, analysis and simulation of current and proposed plans
    • Proactively assess the needs of the business, making recommendations on systems, policies, procedures and programs necessary to support organization's tactical and strategic direction
    • Industry understanding and experience to manage and administer multiple incentive compensation plans across a national retail platform
    • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding compensation
    • Strategic partnering and communication with internal and external contacts (including senior leadership levels) as necessary to ensure expectations and timelines are met
    • Manages incentive compensation administration, incentive computation teams and joint venture payroll administration

    Job Requirements

    • VP title is commensurate with experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field required
    • Minimum 8 years progressively responsible experience in sales compensation planning and execution
    • 4 years of management experience required
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, HR systems, performance management, federal and state respective labor laws
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong relationship management experience with the ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization and influence outcomes
    • Ability to demonstrate solid detail orientation, critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritizing the work load and multi-tasking
    • Solid level PC skills, with an emphasis Microsoft Office suite
    • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability
