  • Job Summary

    • This is a long-term temporary/contract position filling in for someone who is out on extended leave
    • It does also have the possibility of going permanent, but that can't be guaranteed
    • This role does require at least 2 years of mortgage originations (not servicing, default, etc.) experience, such as processing, closing, funding, etc.
    • Responsible for reviewing and clearing investor exceptions on closed loan files and ensure loans are purchased

    Essential Functions

    • Generate various status reports from internal and vendor sites to determine the status of files shipped/received
    • Review exceptions for any missing documentation required to clear them; contact appropriate parties to obtain missing documentation needed
    • Forward missing documentation to investor and monitor loan until it is purchased
    • Review and clear post-purchase exceptions
    • Attend departmental meetings to discuss status of loans
    • Maintain a professional image and adhere to standards consistent with company policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned or required

    Job Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum 2 years related mortgage originations experience required
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
    • Ability to demonstrate detail orientation and analytical skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
    • Demonstrated ability to perform a number of complex tasks simultaneously and effectively
    • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Displays strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
